The Way We Live Now An evening celebrating Sir Terence Conran

Habitatの創設者であり、また自身のショップ、Conran Shopを日本を含めて運営。その他建築デザイン、レストランの経営から、
インテリアデザイン、ブランドライセンス、更にはTower Bridge近辺の開発に貢献する等、多岐に渡り生活にまつわるデザイン
をリードしてきたサー・テレンス・コンランの80歳の誕生日を記念して開催される今回のイベント。デザイン・ミュージアムと連携して
Tate Modernにて行われます。
このイベントの模様は、１１月にDesign Museumにて開催されるTerence Conran exhibition内でも放映される予定とのことです。

As his 80th birthday approaches, we pay tribute to Terence Conran’s vision, energy and achievements.
He has shaped the look of our world and influenced how we lead our lives. His drive to democratise good design
has had more impact on everyday life than that of any other designer of his generation. Chaired by Design Museum
Director Deyan Sudjic, this evening of presentations and discussion draws together leading figures from
the various worlds that Terence Conran’s parallel careers have influenced and informed. Fiona MacCarthy,
Christopher Frayling, Stephen Bayley and Jonathan Meades will each discuss an aspect of Terence’s way of
seeing the world. A transcript of these presentations will be available at the Terence Conran exhibition
at the Design Museum opening in November.
